On August 13, 2026, X published the production ranking weights that score posts in the For You feed and opened more of the visibility system that decides whether a post is allowed to appear at all. The model, called Phoenix, does not simply count likes after they happen. For every candidate post and every viewer, it predicts the probability that the person will take specific actions, such as, reply, copy the link, quote, follow, mute, or report. It then multiplies each probability by a published weight and adds the results into a single score.
